On May 30, 2025, the second, expanded edition of Ihor Ostash's book Bondi, or the Return of Bohdan Vesolovsky, an in-depth study of the work and life of one of the most prominent Ukrainian composers of the twentieth century, was presented.
Ukrpol Printing Company was honored to join the implementation of this cultural project by printing the publication. For our team, participation in such initiatives is not just a production task, but a contribution to the preservation and dissemination of Ukrainian cultural heritage.
The publication is dedicated to the figure of Bohdan Vesolovsky, a composer who was at the origins of Ukrainian pop music. His melodies, sophisticated and modern for their time, have long been forgotten due to historical circumstances. Thanks to the research of Ihor Ostash, a diplomat and popularizer of Vesolovsky's work, Ukrainian readers have the opportunity to rediscover this important figure.
The second edition of the book is supplemented with new materials, documents, archival photos and facts that further reveal the composer's role in the development of Ukrainian music.
For Ukrposhta, it is especially valuable to participate in projects that not only have historical and artistic significance but also contribute to the formation of national identity. We are proud to be a part of the process of returning the name of Bohdan Vesolovsky to the Ukrainian cultural space.
We thank Ihor Ostash and the entire team that worked on the book for their trust and inspiration.
We will continue to support projects that preserve history, shape taste, and inspire new generations.
